crossband.io connector for Claude
Work with crossband.io directly in Claude. The connector gives Claude access to company information, including capitalization tables, financing terms, and document extracts. Claude can perform scenario analysis and generate equity documents with the same tools as crossband.io. Information and documents can be submitted to forms in Claude to create new company models on the crossband.io platform.
What you need
- A crossband.io account.
- A Claude account that can use connectors.
How to connect
- In Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors.
- Select the + button next to Connectors, search crossband.io, and select Connect.
- Sign in to crossband.io, review the access requested and select Allow.
- In a chat, select the + button, choose Connectors and turn on crossband.io.
On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner or Primary Owner first adds crossband.io under Organization settings, then Connectors. Each member then connects with their own crossband.io account.
To add by URL instead, add a custom connector with the address https://app.crossband.io/mcp and keep Claude's published identity selected.
Functions
Reading and calculating
These functions do not change anything in crossband.io.
get_companies | Returns a list of company models on your account. |
get_term | Returns a financing's saved terms, such as a share price or discount rate, with the document reference, page, and quote where available. |
get_shareholder | Returns shareholder or investor holdings, including share vesting, tranches and warrants. |
get_capitalization_table | Returns the current capitalization table and list of convertible or debt securities with a download link for an Excel file. |
get_scenario | Calculates how changes to valuation, share price, or option pool in the latest financing would affect ownership and other financing characteristics. |
get_exit | Calculates shareholder and investor returns if a company is sold, by security class and by shareholder, including at different exit values. Interest, dividends, preferences, shadow classes, strike prices, and other investment characteristics are all considered in the exit calculations. |
get_clause | Searches extracts and analysis from a company's documents for matters beyond its saved terms, including control provisions and voting thresholds. |
Forms
These functions open a crossband.io form in the conversation, in Claude's web and desktop apps. You make the choices in the form. Claude cannot save anything in crossband.io by itself: information is saved only when you click Save in a form.
add_company | Adds a new company, with or without an introductory presentation. |
add_capitalization_table | The step after add_company. Adds a capitalization table from a CSV file to a company that does not have one. |
add_financing_documents | The step after add_capitalization_table. Classifies and analyzes a company's financing documents from PDF files and displays each financing's terms. |
generate_equity_documents | Generates a Word file for a selected equity financing document for a company's latest financing round, based on a document set and user choices, and optionally reconciled against the company's existing documentation. |
Example requests
- List my companies.
- Show the current capitalization table for Acme.
- What does each shareholder receive at a $65 million exit?
- What would a $20 million premoney valuation do to a specific shareholder's ownership?
- Do the financing documents address a change of control?
- Make a term sheet for the latest round.

A qualified person should review results before they are relied upon.
Privacy and security
When you use the connector, the information requested from your account is sent to your Claude account, where it is governed by your agreement with Anthropic. Section 13 of our Privacy Policy describes what Claude receives and what we save. See also our Security Policy. We do not sell your information, anonymized or in aggregate, and we disclose it only as our Privacy Policy describes. You can delete any or all company models and your account at any time.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect at any time from your crossband.io profile page, under Connected Applications. This ends Claude's access.
Troubleshooting

| "This connection request did not come from Claude." | The connector accepts connections from Claude only. Connect from Claude. |
| "This connection request has expired." | Return to Claude and connect again. A connection request must be completed within 15 minutes. |
| "Connecting Claude is not yet available" for your email address | Sign in with the email address of your crossband.io account, or contact support. |
| Claude asks you to connect again | Connect again from Claude. A connection ends after 30 days without use. |
| No form appears | Forms appear in Claude's web and desktop apps. Elsewhere, such as Claude Code, use the crossband.io website to add companies and make equity documents. |
| A file attached in the chat was not used | Files cannot be passed from the chat to crossband.io. Drop the file into the crossband.io form. |
| "Equity documents are not part of this crossband.io account." | Equity documents are available on accounts that include them. Contact support. |
| An equity document cannot be made for a company | The company must be your own, with a capitalization table and an equity round on crossband.io. |
| A company "already has a capitalization table or financing details" or "already has financing terms" | Claude cannot change existing information. Make the change on crossband.io. |
| "Financing documents can be added through Claude only to a company whose capitalization table was added through Claude" | Add the documents on crossband.io. The same applies if the capitalization table has changed since it was added through Claude. |
| An Excel download link does not open | Links last 24 hours, and you must be signed in to crossband.io. If you see "This file is not available", ask Claude to make it again. |
| Claude reports that a term was not captured | crossband.io does not keep the original PDFs, so this does not mean the documents do not address it. Check the original documents. |
| "The request to crossband.io failed. Please try again shortly." | Try again shortly. If it continues, contact support. |
